Congratulations to Louise Penny. STILL LIFE, her first novel featuring Chief Inspector Gamache, has just won the 2007 Dilys Award, an annual award given by the Independent Mystery Booksellers Association for the novel which the member booksellers have most enjoyed selling. We publish Louise’s second novel, DEAD COLD, in paperback in April this year.

Brian Freeman is now in receipt of his fourth nomination for best first novel for Immoral. Following nominations at this year’s Edgar, Dagger and Barry Awards, Brian has been nominated for the Mystery Readers International Macavity Award. A fantastic achievement – Headline will publish Brian’s new novel, Stripped, in November 2006.
