Brian Freeman’s brilliant novel, IMMORAL, has won the
2006 Macavity Award for Best First Novel. This caps off a fantastic year for
Brian and we eagerly look forward to the publication of
his new hardback novel, STALKED, later this year.

 


Congratulations to Louise Penny. STILL LIFE, her first novel featuring
Chief Inspector Gamache, has just won the 2007 Dilys Award, an annual award
given by the Independent Mystery Booksellers Association for the novel
which the member booksellers have most enjoyed selling. We publish Louise’s
second novel, DEAD COLD, in paperback in April this year.

 
September 2006
 

Brian Freeman is now in receipt of his fourth nomination for best first novel for Immoral.
Following nominations at this year’s Edgar, Dagger and Barry Awards,
Brian has been nominated for the Mystery Readers International Macavity Award.
A fantastic achievement – Headline will publish Brian’s new novel,
Stripped, in November 2006.

 


A fanfare for Christopher Reich for The Patriot’s Club, which has won the
International Thriller Writers’ 2006 Best Novel of the Year Award.

 


Congratulations to David Morrell, who has won this year’s Bram Stoker Award for
Best Thriller of 2005 for his fantastic novel Creepers.
